****This giveaway is now closed!****
Remember when we mentioned the Couple Speak contest 3M is hosting a couple weeks ago? Well, on top of giving away a whole bunch of money the nice folks at 3M want to hook one of you up with a collection of some of their classic products. They sent us a sample of the goodies and we've already dug in and put some of them to good use. (Hint: sanding blocks + kitchen cabinets + paint. I'm pretty excited about it!!)
Here is a list of the products that will be included in the giveaway pack:
2 3M LeadCheck Swabs
1 Roll of Scotch Blue
3 Stages of Sanding (green, maroon, gold sandpaper)
1 pair of gloves
1 respirator
1 eye wear
I'm absolutely loving the color-coded, clearly labeled sanding systems. The different grits/uses are different colors, making it easy to know which one to grab when I'm stripping cabinets or sanding between layers of paint on cabinets. Hypothetically (oh heeeey! look who's painting kitchen cabinets!).
While we're talking about expensive projects, 3M is offering $5,000 to the lucky winner of their video contest. Find all the details or upload your own video here. Or, if you're camera-shy or short on time, try your hand at their weekly contest - someone will win $250 every week for their witty translation. Plus, it's a good stress reliever when old pipes won't budge. Or you smash your finger with a hammer.
Another stress reliever would be to enter our giveaway! Here are all the juicy details:
To participate in the giveaway:
1) Participate in the translation sweepstakes being hosted on the 3M Framework Facebook Page (you'll need to "like" the page in order to participate).
2) Post a comment on this post saying that you participated.
3) Include your translation in your comment.
We realize there are a couple steps involved to enter the giveaway (not how we normally like to roll), but we think you'll have fun with the translations. And the goods from 3M are worth a couple minutes of your time, right??
The giveaway will close on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:00pm. Make sure you get in before then!
The more the merrier! You can Share on Facebook or Share on Twitter to get more DIY-ers sharing their stories.
Disclosure: We were compensated by 3M for our time in writing this post. The words and opinions are our own, as is the communication we struggle with during DIY projects.
