We also got sidetracked by another truck project. Hubs had to re-do some wiring that required removing the bed of the truck. Again. So we've had the bed strung up by the garage rafters for the past week. Last night we finally got it re-attached, just in time for this morning's commute.
When we were discussing which of the zillion to-do's to tackle this weekend, Nick pushed hard for mudding the dining room. I resisted until he casually mentioned that once the taping/mudding is done the dining room will be ready to prime.
I heard "blah blah blah.......ALL DONE WE'LL NEVER HAVE TO WORK ON IT AGAIN."
So naturally, I was all for mudding.
Until there was drywall dust all over the floor. Then I reconsidered my vote.
Nick also got another wall drywalled, which feels awesome. Like, maybe-someday-we'll-have-real-walls kind of awesome.

Sorry this picture is dark. It got late. And I got cranky.
after
(there's new drywall, promise)
There are many more stories to tell, but I'm still fighting some nasty seasonal allergies, so that's all I've got in me right now. I hope you all had fantastic holiday weekends and managed to knock everything off your to-do lists. We had a great weekend, but our to-do list is still way too long. Maybe next weekend....

I hope you rested some because I'm tired looking at this!! Lots of progress though!
ReplyDeleteHoliday weekends are for DIYers, aren't they? You and Nick totally remind me of Ryan and I. I hear blahblahblah a lot when he talks, too. And he always causes drywall dust!
ReplyDeleteIt's all coming together! Great work, guys!
