We painted the exterior of the house last year, but there were a couple details that we didn't have time to finish before it got too cold to paint. For example, the office windows.
They're super dingy, two different shades of white, and overall, not attractive. At all. In the name of curb appeal, we wanted to slap a fresh coat of paint on to brighten things up.
I'm amazed at how white they actually look in the picture above, but check out the one below. The bright white of the new paint reveals just how not-white the windows actually were.
I only managed to get one coat on before it got too dark to see, but hopefully I'll have the second one taken care of tonight or tomorrow. Or this weekend. Because this (long!) weekend is going to be all about the house projects!
We're still finalizing our to-DIY list for the weekend, but it's gonna be a long one. Anybody else have the weekend blocked off for projects?
Keep at it. I can't believe the days are shorter and September is here. I have a long list to tackle this weekend myself.
ReplyDeleteoh nooo...say it isn't so...if the freeze would never come, I'd be happy. Why do I live in Western NY, then, you ask? Good question.
ReplyDeleteThe motivation you guys have to get stuff done is so inspiring. Can you add completing our trim to your list? ;)
Definitely have a long weekend of projects ahead of us but also some pool time. Also doing some landscaping - hoping to score some deals on ground cover plants!!
ReplyDeleteWhite paint is a miracle worker. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteWe really wanted to get the house painted before winter. Yikes! It's September. How long did it take you to get the entire house painted? Is it possible in a month and a half?
