I'm going against the masses. I thought the Hunger Games were so stinking weird. I did, however, read all of them..mainly because I kept thinking they were going to get awesome because everyone loved them. Not so much for me.

I really enjoyed the Pioneer Woman's "From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels."

For mindless reading may I suggest Something Borrowed and Something Blue.

I also thought Tina Fey's Bossypants was quite entertaining.

The most recent book I read was Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol (I forgot I had it for a long time so I read it over the holidays).

What a great goal! My big read of the year was The Count of Monte Cristo. It's good and the satisfaction of finishing that beast of a book was worth the two months + of time I put into it. So if you're looking for a classic to devour, I'd recommend it.

I'd also recommend Les Miserables, even if it's the abridged version. (I can't judge because I've only read the abridged). It is such a compelling story!

I read several others this year too, including The Help, which strangely enough, I actually preferred the movie version over the book. That has to be a first for me.

Did you ever read Eat Pray Love? Read it and then come to India with me... even if it's really cliche. Then read Committed, by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Like the other posters said above, the Hunger Games Trilogy. I'm on book two and addicted! Before the Hunger Games, I was ready Nicholas Sparks. Good, sappy life/romance books. They will make you cry though! I started The Chronicles of Narnia and cannot get into it so its been sitting by my bed for 3 or 4 months. I end up picking it back up and reading it when i have nothing else to read.

I'm reading the Hunger Games trilogy and I cannot put them down. I sneak into my room at all hours of the day and night to read a chapter. I am not generally a sci fi fan (although I like Harry Potter), but these are great.
