You can never go wrong with a Christmas tree--whether it's littered with hundreds of childhood ornaments or it's got only tinsel hanging on it, the sheer presence of a Christmas tree is what matters to me. Besides, you are enjoying it! If anyone tells you it's pathetic they are missing the point. I was surprised your story didn't go awry when you brought beemer into it. I was totally expecting to read something like... "Then beemer ate the whole thing"
